Kristin Fisher has joined CNN on the 20th of July, 2021, as Space and Defense Correspondent. In her new position, Fisher will cover everything including NASA's recently-created Space Force to commercial space businesses and the advent space tourism. Kristin was mother of NASA astronauts as well as an avid space fan, grew up immersed in the industry. She served for five years as the White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy during the Biden and Trump administrations. Through that time she covered the presidential 2020 campaign, the impeachment trial and two attempts to prevent the spread of coronavirus in addition to two distinct administrations' efforts. Kristin was on the road extensively, both with the president and vice-president. The reporter even took an extremely secret trip to Afghanistan together with Donald Trump. Kristin has worked in the newsrooms of local markets like Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Washington, D.C. for over a decade before being hired by the CBS network. Kristin was the recipient of an Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. as a CBS affiliate's one-man band reporter. Kristin founded Field Mouse Films with her experience behind the camera in the year 2014. The firm specialized on making documentaries for corporate clients, such as Uber and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin received her Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from Boston University. The place she lives is Washington, D.C., with her family, including their three-year-old daughter.
